Dear Fan and Friend,
Throughout my life, I've been blessed by opportunities to be able to reach my goals. Whether a National Championship with my beloved Buckeyes or Rookie of the Year with the Green Bay Packers, I have been rewarded with great success. Certainly my kidney transplant of November 28, 2001 can be added to the list. For me, as for other kidney recipients, it made the difference between a difficult life on dialysis and the normal life I now live.
The John Brockington Foundation, formed in 2002, seeks to narrow the gap between the number of people waiting for organs and the number of organs available. With the help and support of Secretary of Health and Human Services Tommy Thompson, my nephrologist Dr. Fadda, my colleague Rod Roberto, and my donor and wife Diane, we are working to make organ donation the norm, not the exception, in our country.
Thank you for being a visitor to my site and remember how important you are in this battle. By pledging to donate, you can save or improve the lives of up to 50 people. If you do nothing, no one is saved.
We would like to Thank everyone who came to the November 2Oth, 2009 KIN event for coming to learn how to change behaviors that put the community at Risk.
We woud also like to thank Preacherman at KURS and our Partners Balboa Nephrology Medical Group and Fresenius Health Care for their help in promoting kidney health in San Diego.
Run Hard, John Brockington
